Measured openly. Reported honestly.
Trust is our real currency. Every target, every franc, and every milestone of the pilot is published here — so donors, partners, and the community can hold us to it.
What the first 6 months will deliver
With USD $5,000 in seed funding, Ongera Ubeho will run a fully operational six-month pilot.
Every dollar, accounted for
The full seed grant builds a complete six-month pilot — platform, outreach, safe space, trained mentors, and independent impact tracking. Revenue from sliding-scale family fees then subsidises free services for street youth.
A model already vetted by institutions
Selected as a winning venture — HATANA Innovation Bootcamp
In 2026, Ongera Ubeho was selected as a winning venture of the HATANA Innovation Bootcamp under the Social Entrepreneurship Fund 2.0 — an initiative of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Rwanda. The selection followed a competitive review of the model's feasibility, community relevance, and social impact potential, and provides the seed funding for our six-month pilot.
From pilot to national model
A model any Rwandan district can replicate — aligned with NST2 and Vision 2050.
Prove the model
Pilot with 130+ beneficiaries. Collect evidence, refine the mentorship curriculum, build community trust.
Sustainable revenue
Sliding-scale fees from paying families subsidise fully free services for street youth.
National partnership
Partnership with MINISANTE & MIGEPROF for integration into national health and gender programmes.
District-by-district scale
Replicate mentor training in every district and expand to university campuses for student mental health.
We publish our targets before we start, and our results as they happen — because families trust people who keep their word, and so do funders.
